Lots of Lists, Just No Gumption

Alright, so it's been quite a while since I posted last.  It isn't that I haven't thought about doing it.  The truth is I've thought about it dozens of times.  But quite honestly, I just haven't had the gumption.  (Don't you just love that word?!)

Both Debbie and I were - and still are! - very gung ho on this idea.  I'm going to try and stick with it and just post some of the fun, funny, creative, mundane, expensive, wild, eccentric lists that I come up with on a regular basis.  I need you all to help keep my honest.  If I haven't posted in a while, send me a comment to give me a little nudge in the right direction.  You can nudge Deb, too.  And so will I.  Why should you guys have all the fun!  LOL

It's spring!  Or at least nearly so, and I can't get my head out of the garden.  My mind keeps spinning with all sorts of ideas and things I'd love to work on and accomplish out there.  Front and back yards, but right now I'm really focused on the front yard.  Man, it's consuming my thoughts and rendering a few sleepless nights.  I've got lots of little sticky notes in a variety of colors (just like flowers...for the garden!) that all contain thoughts and ideas for garden ideas.  It will actually be good for me to get these all written down in one place.  At least then I can get rid of all of the little precious pieces of paper I've been toting around with me!

In no particular order:

1.  Create spring "To-Do" list (tasks for spring break - some of the items below will be on it, but many of these will be done by that time and the list will have lots of new things on it!)
2.  Create mosaic stepping stones using broken Talavera tiles
3.  Paint redwood fence
4.  Purchase mini strings of lights for the wrought iron stars on the fence
5.  Have date palm, and sago palms removed
6.  De-mint and weed garden area (Oh man!  That mint will be the death of me yet!)
7.  Sketch out garden plan
8.  Purchase plants and seeds
9.  Pick up free agapanthas and a plumeria from Doug
10.Place canvas sail shades over the pool
11.Clean patio table, chairs, chair pads, chairs, loveseat, cushions, coffee table, glider and glider cushions.
12.Wash white buffet and shelving unit
13.Wash all dishes inside the buffet
14.Wash all outdoor placemats and tea towels
15. Look for Talavera or other pottery stars to add to fence in the 'star area'
16.Look for more sun faces to add to 'sun face' section of the fence
17.Look for two new outdoor rugs: one for under the dining table, one for the brick patio seating area
18.Create play lists for outdoor summer dinners: Ottmar Liebert, Ray Lamontagne, the Decemberists, Mumford and Sons
19.Creat list of couples for 'Just Dinner'
20.Look for beverage cistern to keep outdoors

Oh mercy.  This is just the tip of the iceberg!

See you soon!
